David E. "Dave" Lucas, age 67 of Marion, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Presidential Care Center of Marion.
Dave was born July 30, 1954 in Marion, the son of Glenn Edward and Clara Mae (Montgomery) Lucas. He received his education in Marion and graduated from Elgin High School. Dave enjoyed working and helping others and did so at such places as Meijer's, Foodtown, MARCA Industries and more.
He enjoyed summer fishing trips to Michigan with his family. When he was growing up, everyone in the neighborhood knew Dave was the fastest runner there was and he also enjoyed riding his bike everywhere. Watching the Buckeyes and baseball games with his dad was always a highlight for Dave. Keeping up with current events was important to him and he always loved playing BINGO with friends.
He will be remembered by his siblings: Sandra E. (Bruce L.) Thaxton, James D. Lucas, Steven R. (Pam) Lucas and Cheryl A. (James) Corbin; Sister-in-law Brenda K. Lucas; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel A. Lucas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 10AM to 11AM; funeral service will follow at 11AM with Pastor Brad Smith officiating; burial will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
