Clara Mae Lucas, 76, of Marion died Friday morning July 20, 2007 at the Heartland of Marion Nursing Home.
She was born on November 1, 1930 in Marion County the daughter of the late LeRoy and Mabel (Park) Montgomery.
On October 18, 1953 she married Glenn E. Lucas in Marion.
A resident of Marion her entire life and a homemaker, before her marriage, she worked for Motor Products Inc. as an inspector.
Clara was a member of the New Bloomington United Methodist Church where she was active in their women's group. She was also a member of the LaRue Eastern Star and was active in PTA and Cub Scouts when her children were younger.
She also enjoyed time spent in her garden.
Clara will be missed by her husband; six children David E. Lucas of Marion, Daniel A. (Brenda K.) Lucas of Marion, Sandra E.(Bruce L.) Thaxton of Kenton, James D. Lucas of Delaware, Steven R. (Pam) Lucas of Marion, and Cheryl A. (James) Corbin of Marion; eight grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 step great grandchildren; sisters Betty (Drew) Adams of North Lewisburg, and Gladys (William) Arndt of Marion; and brothers George (Pam) Montgomery of Cleveland and Larry (Gladys) Montgomery of Marion.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Pamela Lynn Lucas.
