Her mother's name is Mary Ann Sinclair who was age 81 living in 1850 Eastern District, Monongalia County, Mary Ann Sinclair age 81, Mary McVicker age 41 and Mary's 5 McVicker children Eliza, Alpheus, Sarah, Permelia and Phoebe. The 1860 census is Mary, age 51 a James M. McVicker age 28, Alpheus, Sarah, Permeia and Phoebe. There are living beside Mary's nephew, Franklin R. Sinclair. 1870 Mary is living with son James Madison McVicker. Unable to locate Mary in 1880. Mary's husband George Washington McVicker 1810- death before 1850 Her brothers Benjamin Sinclair (father of Franklin Sinclair (See Mary's will). And a brother John Granville Sinclair. There may be other possible siblings. Mary's Will list 4 McVicker children James, Eliza, Sarah and Permelia. Daughter Pheobe is not mentioned in her will and Alpheus is deceased. I do not know the name of a Protzman husband that may have died before Mary had her first son James McVicker in 1837 with George McVicker. I believe that William I. Prozman listed as her son in her will is William I. Protzman born 1831 and buried in this Oak Grove Cemetery. No. MEMORIAL ID 7075483. William is living with Thomas Protzman in 1850 and married in 1851. I can NOT find proof that Thomas was his father and possibly was an uncle. Proof of his father needed. All info greatly appreciated. New info in the obit of Phoebe Sinclair McVicker Gower provides the fathers name William Sinclair and list Mary as her sister and William Protzman as nephew.
