HOWARD RAY MENDENHALL, age 77 of 415 Laura Circle, Eaton, Ohio died Friday, November 8, 1996 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on May 22, 1919 in Eaton, Ohio, he was the son of Benjamin George & Nellie Irene (Pence) Mendenhall. He retired in 1974 after 30 years at G.M. Truck & Bus Division in Dayton, OH and worked for the past 16 years with Wentzel Realty in Eaton; a WW II U.S. Army Air-Corp veteran; member of American Legion Post 215 Eaton; Masonic Lodge in Dayton; member of the Eaton Church of the Nazarene and member of the Eaton Optimist Club. Preceded in death by Daughter: Debra Sue Mendenhall in 1984; Brothers: George "Bud" Mendenhall in 1975 and Dennis Ross "Junior" Murray in 1953.

Survivors: Wife of 40 years: Rosetta (Leach) Mendenhall; Daughter: Donna Stemen of Brookville, Ohio; Sons & Daughter in law: Tony R. & Patty Mendenhall, Findlay, OH; Dennis "Denny" Mendenhall, CA; Dale Mendenhall, Brookville, OH; Sister: Sue Inloe, Eaton, OH; Several Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 11, 1996 - 10:30 a.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Harold Horton officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union, Eaton, Ohio with full military services provided by American Legion Post #215. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 1996 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Eaton Emergency Squad.
