Jay C. Bell passed away Saturday, December 29, 2007 at home from a Stroke. He was born April 6, 1923 to Elmer and Rachel Hair Bell in Duchesne, UT. He graduated from Duchesne High School. He later moved to American Fork with his family. He served in the US Army during World War II in the Philippine Islands. He worked for UPL for 35 years in American Fork and Moab, UT. He retired as a District Manager. He married Maurine Allred in the Salt Lake Temple in 1947.



Survived by his wife, children; Steven (Sharon), American Fork, UT; Terrie (Terry) Tomlinson, Lindon, UT; Tami (Rick) Shumway, Cottonwood Heights, UT; Jaylene Ashworth, Salt Lake City, UT; Bonnie (Don) Ewell, Vernal, UT; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one brother, R. DerMont (Linda) Bell. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Farrel and Harold "Bud" Bell.




Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 2:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy. A Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:45 pm.
