Bina was tall and beautiful. She was named for her father's aunt, Albina Cunningham--and for her mother's sister, Rhoda Seelbach Green.

She was ten years old when her father was shot dead by a neighbor. She was standing right outside when it happened and saw it all. She testified to it in court.

She had four husbands: M.D. (Dewitt) Largent (married in 1934), Mr. Craig (married in 1963), Mr. Driver, and Johnny Earnest Placker (married in 1973). Four husbands and no children. Aunt Opaline (married to Bina's brother L.V.) said that drink got the best of Bina and Mr. Largent.

By the time she was sick with diabetes, Bina had become very religious. Her niece Allene (daughter of Bina's sister Kitty), reports that her last words as she was wheeled into surgery to amputate her leg were: "If I don't come back, You will miss me, but you will know where I am."

(A Recollection--M.E. McWilliams, her grand niece)
