Robert worked for the Reliable Detective Agency for a time. He then was a crane operator for Jefferson-Smurfit for 28 years. He then was a security officer at the Alton Belle Casino in Alton, Illinois.
Robert died at his home at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 8 days.
He was survived by his wife; 2 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, all of East Alton, Illinois; 1 son and 1 daughter-in-law, also of East Alton; 9 grandchildren; 1 sister; 1 brother; his step-father, Robert Van Deusen; 2 step-sisters; and 1 step-brother.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Visitation was held on 05 Apr 2005 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Funeral services were conducted there at 2 p.m. the following afternoon.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the American Diabetes Association.
