Services held Saturday, January 15th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in American Falls.
Melvin went to Colorado State University in Fort Collins for a semester. In 1956 he moved to Aberdeen to start farming. He and JoAnn were married in Sterling, Colorado on November 18th, 1961, and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. They enjoyed many years together square dancing, traveling and playing cards with friends and family. Also precedied by daughter Mary, bothers David, Linus and Robert Fehringer, and his sister Viola (Fehringer) Hartley. Survived by his wife JoAnn (Frank) Fehringer, his children Rosalie (Jeff) Harrison of Parker, Colorado, Vincent (Tina) Fehringer, Tony Fehringer, both of American Falls, Idaho, Charlene Fehringer of Pocatello, Idaho, Roberta (John) Smith of Big Timber, Montana, and Karen (Keith) Hickerson of Boise, Idaho, and his eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He's also survived by his siblings Isabell (Pete) Volden of North Platt, Nebraska, Leonard (Harriet) Fehringer of Aurora, Colorado, Anna May Curtis of Sterling, Colorado, Paul (Peggy) Fehringer of Peetz, Colorado, and Mary Lou (Bob) DeWeese of Dolores, Colorado.
