Dovie Holland, nee Rumley, 91, of Millstadt, Ill., born Aug 20, 1904, in Rumley, Ark., died Sunday, Jan 21, 1996, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Holland was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, Belleville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Newton and Sarah Margaret, nee Geary, Rumley; husband, Arthur Holland; daughter, Bernice Hellwig; brothers; and sisters.
Surviving are son-in-law, Arthur (Lucille) Hellwig of Millstadt, Ill.; granddaughters, Barbara Ash of Belleville, Ill. and Karen (Bruce) Lowry of Millstadt, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Daniel Ash; and Cora Lowry.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, at Strauss Funeral Home, Millstadt, Ill., with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Canterbury Manor Nursing Home, Waterloo, Ill.
