Selina (Selena) Jane Poston was the daughter of Henry Poston and Mary Marshall. She married Charles L. Sebastian in Sainte Genevieve County, Missouri, May 9, 1871. After the death of her husband's father in 1875 the family moved to Los Angeles County, California. After the death of her husband Selina filed for a Civil War widow's pension at Los Angeles September 9, 1891, and received certificate No. 350,467. She was the mother of 5 children, with 3 still living in 1900 (1900 US Census).
