Jean Antoinette (Fessler) Eis, age 87, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and Mishicot resident passed away January 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving children.

Jean was born May 5, 1934, to Frank and Isabel (Gehrig) Fessler. Jean was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1952. On May 17, 1958, Jean married Bob Eis. She worked at Oriental Milling Company before the birth of their children. Bob and Jean owned and operated Eis Insurance Agency for over forty years. Jean was an active parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church and member of Mishicot Homemakers and Holy Cross Altar Society. Jean believed that life is sweet and meant to be enjoyed in big and small ways. She was a loyal fan of the Brewers and the Chicago Bears. She loved playing cards and Sunday bingo at Holy Cross. She was fond of all of her card clubs and enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino.

Jean was thoughtful and generous, always making time for others by baking someone's favorite dessert, giving cards and gifts, serving as a Girl Scout leader, and attending her children and grandchildren's events regardless of the distance. Jean adored babies and children and spent countless hours caring for her grandchildren. She indulged her grandchildren by playing card games for hours, giving treats at all times of day, and making them an important part of whatever she was doing. Jean gave her affection and attention lavishly. Her love and tight hugs could make family and friends feel like they were the only person in the world.

Survivors include three children, Suzie (Dave) Zor of St. Louis, MO, Steve (Mary) Eis of Two Rivers, Sally (Mike) Braun of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Megan (Neil Dwyer) Zor, D.J. (Megan) Zor, Stefanie (Brad) Lighthall, Anna (Chris) Bellavia, Christina Zor, Austin Eis, Trevor Braun, Margo Eis, and Courtney Braun; and six great-grandchildren: Isabel, Eleanor, Vincent, Frances, Frederick, and Celeste. She is further survived by her siblings and in-laws: Marjorie (Myron) Habermann, Mildred Duchon, and Tony (Joan) Fessler, Patsy Eis, Marilyn Zahorik, Elaine (Carl) Hallada, Judy (Greg) Rademacher, Geraldine Heran and Dick (Barbara) Eis; cousin, Tom Fessler; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bob Eis; daughter, Sara Eis; siblings and in-laws, Annabel and Emery Casper, Rosemary and Howard Lensmire, Donald Eis, Donald Duchon, Gib Zahorik, John Heran, and Mel Eschen; and a niece, Terri Eis.
