Annabelle C. Casper

Plymouth - Annabelle Christine Casper, age 92, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and Godmother passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Annabelle was born March 17, 1928, in Silver Lake (Manitowoc County), Wisconsin, to Frank Joseph and Isabel Gehrig Fessler. She was a 1946 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc and worked as a secretary for Braun's Auto in Manitowoc from 1946 to 1958. On September 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to Emery H. Casper at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Silver Lake, and moved to Plymouth. She worked as a stay-at-home mom from 1959 to 1974 and then at Stokely Van Camp in Plymouth until her retirement in 1990.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Plymouth and their Christian Women's organization. Her and Emery were long-time members of the Plymouth VFW.

Annie was quiet but spunky, had few needs but knew how to get her way when she wanted it and was the best homemade bread, cookie, and apple pie baker, having baked many an apple pie for the St. John the Baptist stand at Road America.

She was a gallon-plus blood donor and an avid sheepshead player having played into her 90s. She and Emery spent their younger years dancing the night away, having visited nearly every dance hall in the state of Wisconsin at some time or another.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years; one son, Michael (Lisa), Plano, Texas; three daughters, Diane (Steve) Barth, Hales Corners; Peggy Casper, Jacksonville, Florida; and Debra (Michael) Matoska, Sheboygan Falls; four granddaughters, Kirsten and Maddy Schmidt, Sheboygan Falls, and Samantha and Brynne Barth, Hales Corners; three sisters, Marjorie (Myron) Habermann, Mildred Duchon, and Jean Eis, and one brother, Tony (Joan) Fessler, all of Manitowoc. She is further survived by three Godchildren, Christine Miller, Sandy Risch, and Barb Sieracki, as well as other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Lensmire; eight brothers-in-law, Howard Lensmire, Melvin Eschen, Donald Duchon, Robert Eis, Orville Casper, Willard Verhage, Arnold Risch, and Harold Casper; four sisters-in-law, Katie Casper, Leora Verhage, Helen Risch, and Phillis Casper; and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Casper.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 18, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Plymouth; visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Masks and physical distancing required. Mass will be live streamed at 11:30 on the Church's website, www.sjbplymouth.org/Parish. Burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
