Mrs. Allen was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a retired employee with the City-Parish Library. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Smylie B. Allen; her parents, Simpson Bradford McFate and Annie Eva Lee McFate; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Adair Edgens and Christopher Edward Stanley.
She was survived by three daughters, Robby Geraldine Mullins, Annie Rose Temple and Eloise Jacobs; two sons, Harold Lester Allen and Ellison B. Allen; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
