Funeral services for William Burl Grover, 81, were held today (Monday). from Surls and Grupe Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Binder officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery. Mr. Grover died Friday at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital.

William Burl Grover was born April 7, 1892, near Traer, the son of Robert and Jennie Sloper Grover. He and Calista Sheffield were married Feb. 8, 1916, at Waterloo. Mr. Grover was an agent for the Rock Island Railroad for nearly 50 years before retiring in 1959. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Iowa Falls and the Senior Citizens Club.

Mr. Grover is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Myron (Evelyn) Chukker of Iowa Falls: a son, Gerald of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; a sister Mrs. Ruby Ashley of Lincoln City, Ore.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his wife, six brother and sisters.
