Lynn Paul Ainsworth, 73, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at hishome.

He was born September 26, 1948 in Cape Girardeau to Leon Parker and Allene Edna Siemers Ainsworth.

Lynn Paul married Charlotte Taylor Ainsworth April 3, 1981.

Lynn lived in Cape Girardeau, Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri; Foley, Alabama and back to Cape Girardeau. Lynn attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School, College High and Southeast Missouri State University and Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Lynn held several manager positions for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. He retired in 1991 after 25 years of service. After retiring, he and Charlotte traveled most of the 48 states. They spent years fishing and boating at Lake of the Ozarks. He was happiest when he was with his family. Lynn and Charlotte made life long friends while working and traveling. Lynn was a member of Gulf Coast Elks Lodge 2782 and past Exhalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 9 in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Taylor Ainsworth of Cape Girardeau; mother, Allene Edna Siemers Ainsworth of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Lee Ann Ainsworth (Randy) Brugger of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Staci Brugger of Cape Girardeau and Ryan (Morgan) Brugger of Gordonville, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, August and Vincent Brugger; a step-son, Todd (Denice) Stitt of Rison, Arkansas; two step-grandchildren, Taylor and Drew Stitt of Rison, Arknansas; a step great-grandchild, Delta Stitt of Rison, Arkansas; a brother, David (Teresa) Ainsworth of Honeoye Falls, New York; a niece, Aspen (Dan) Ainsworth-Rubin of Rochester, New York; a nephew, Austin Ainsworth of Buffalo, New York; sister-in-law, Shelia (Max) Woodfin of Austin, Texas; and two step nephews, Dabbs (Lizebe) Woodfin and Ran (Carly) Woodfin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Parker Ainsworth and a daughter, Monica Lynn (Roger) Popp.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Stan Hargis officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
