His father died when he was two years of age, and he was reared by his mother He was not found in the 1850-1860 or 1870 census of Georgia.He was listed in the Georgia " 1864 Census For Reorganizing The Militia", page 256, Living in Atlanta, in the 35th Senatorial Dist., 469th Militia District, Levi H. Jordan, age 41 years, 1 month, Occupation Trackhand. He was my (Ron Holley's) great-great-great-grand-uncle)
