Little Berry Jordan was born on his father's 192 acre farm, located on the south bank of the North Fork of The Beaverdam Creek, near present day Bowman, in Elbert County Ga. His father died when he was nine years of age. He lived in his mother's HH until at least 1850. He married Angeline Mullins in about 1854 in Cass Co. Ga,. Since he was not listed in any 1850 census that have found. I think he probably moved to be near his brothers Joshua R Jordan and James Benajah Houston Jordan ,both if whom were in Paulding County in 1850. Cass county (now Bartow) adjoined Paulding on it's northern boundary. In 1860 Little Berry was enumerated in Acworth, Cobb Co., Ga, where I,I Ron Holley live ( 2022). Little Berry moved to Arkansas after the 1860 census was taken. He and Joshua both left Georgia at the end of 1860. Joshua knew that the War was coming and thought, being so close to Atlanta, his family might be in harms way, so he moved to Alabama . I suspect that Little Berry had similar thoughts. Little Berry went further on west to Pope Count Ark. Joshua R Jordan, of nearby Paulding Co. Ga. also moved at the end of 1860, but Joshua moved to Franklin Co. Al. In the Bible record of James Jordan's children, Little Berry is shown as being born Nov. 25, 1815. He was named Little Berry Jordan. Not Littleberry. He was my Ron Holley's 3rd great-granduncle.
