Mr. Ralph Glines Abee Jr., 75, of Hildebran, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health.

Ralph was born on October 8, 1946 in Burke County to the late Ralph Abee Sr. and Pansy Lowman Abee. He worked for Century Furniture for 30 years and was a longtime member of Mt. Home Baptist Church in Morganton. Ralph was a veteran of the USMC, serving from 1965-1972 with two tours in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters; Myrtle Abee Lowman, Rachel Cornett, Louise Earhart, and Gladys Abee, and a niece, Deborah Smith.

Survivors inlcude two daughters; Amanda Abee Lennex of Hudson, and Ashley Nicole Abee of Sherrills Ford, one son, Kyle Andrew Abee, and two sisters, Julie Adams and Merita Buff. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Alexander Rae Lennex, Landon Cole Lennex, and Taylor Grant Lennex, nieces; Crystal Carswell, Cherry , and Sandra Passmore, nephews; Darren , David and Kevin Buff, Steve Adams, and Randy Cornett.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Interment will follow at the Abee Family Cemetery at Abee's Chapel Baptist Church. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
