LARRY R. SHUMAKER
1940-2022
---Larry Robert Shumaker was born in 1940 in Hazelton, KS to Robert and Ruby Shumaker of Attica, KS. He graduated from Attica High School, class of 1958. Larry married the love of his life, Alice Burke, on April 18, 1958. They were married 62 years. Larry's greatest joy was his loving wife and family. Both were proud parents to Steve, Lora and Dianne but even prouder to be grandparents to 8 grandkids and 4 great-grandchildren.
---Larry was an active member of Regency Baptist Church of Loomis, CA. He never hesitated to share his love of the Lord with others. Larry also enjoyed tending roses and birdwatching. He was a dedicated employee of the Dept. of Interior for 32 years.
---Larry went to heaven to be in the very presence of the Lord on Wednesday January 26, 2022. He passed away from complications with Covid. Larry is survived by his wife Alice Shumaker, his son Steven Shumaker and wife Vicky of Utah; daughter Lora Fisher and her husband Tom Fisher of Goletta, CA; Dianne Petrilla and her husband Ralph Petrilla of Rocklin, CA, grandchildren Dan Shumaker, Scott Shumaker, Justin Shumaker, Rachael Stralton, Audrey French, Adam Petrilla, Bryon Patrilla and Cole Petrilla; great grandchildren Skyler Shumaker, Mackenzie Stratton, Kaiden Stratton and Raymond Shumaker; sisters Linda Culver and Loretta Babcock. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruby and sister Lillian Graves.
---A private graveside service will be held on February 10th. Memorial contibutons may be made in loving memory of Larry to Regency Baptist Church of Loomis, CA.
