She emigrated to the USA in 1969 with her family. She had a varied career, working in health care, manufacturing and retired from Sodexo at Muhlenberg College in 1993. She was a volunteer at Phoebe in Allentown for many years visiting residents. She traveled extensively with her husband and family, throughout the US and abroad. She loved flower gardening, baking and was an excellent cook. She was curious about nature, science, and current events, enjoyed music, opera and art, and the many friends she made over the years.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Ibolya Balog (Harry Crapser) of Allentown, PA, son Balint Balog (Kim) of Hummelstown, PA and grandchildren Sarah Balog (Kevin Brightbill) of Coos Bay, Oregon and Alex Balog of Pittsburgh, PA.
Services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
