Adoris Kelly was born to the late Brack Kelly and Hallie Maxwell Kelly in Socapatoy, Alabama on May 15, 1920. She departed this life on Saturday January 8, 2022. She was seventh of eight children and was very close to her family.
In 1938 she married Walter Barefield Sr. and to that union three sons were born Walter Barefield Jr., Herman Barefield and James Barefield.
Adoris was a loving mother, homemaker, and a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family.
Adoris was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Walter Barefield Sr., son Walter Barefield Jr., siblings Jessie Sandlin, Levis Sandlin, Myrtis Gaddis, Deleane Heard, Vello Jackson, Lessie Young and Byron Kelley.
