WEST YORK Norma M. Hale, 77, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 6, 2006, at the home of her sister, Freda Jennings. Norma was the wife of Raymond A. "Gus" Hale, Jr., who died on November 6, 1971.

Norma was a graduate of West York High School, class of 1949. She worked for over 25 years in the lingerie dept. of Wiest's Dept. Store in York. She was a beautician, retiring in 2001, from Evelyn Hale's Beauty Salon in York. Mrs. Hale was a life long member of St. Paul's (Wolf's) E.C.C. Church, where she taught Junior church for many years. She was also a member of Wolf's Women's Fellowship and helped at the Sunday School picnic for many years. She was a member of the West York V.F.W. Post # 8951.

Born in West York on June 2, 1929, Norma was the daughter of the late Seymour G. and Annie (Bentz) Eyster. She leaves a sister, Freda A. Jennings of York; several cousins; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Clark Eyster and Gordon E. .

Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul (Wolf's) E.C.C. Church, 4501 Wolf's Church Road, York. The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Matthew H. Stillman. Burial will be in St. Paul (Wolf's) Cemetery. The Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St., York, is entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Focus On the Future Fund of St. Paul's (Wolf's) E.C.C. Church, 4501 Wolf's Church Road, York, PA 17408.
