Age 73, son of the late John W. II and Virginia Vietmeier Roward. Steve was teasingly known as the "Big Bald Ugly Guy" at his work at General Electric where he was employed for 38 years, retiring in January 2009. He was a veteran of the US Marines, serving during the Vietnam War. Steve was a member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 and the American Legion in Randolph, NY. He was also an avid bowler, participating on several teams, and enjoyed playing cards and camping with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Roward, who passed on November 18, 2021; one brother, John W. "Jack" Roward III; and one sister, Susan Morris.
Steve is survived by one daughter, Mary Roward; one son, Daniel R. Roward (Cassandra); one sister, Rebecca Hess; four grandchildren, Andrew, Danica, Kaycee, and Lawson Roward; and many nieces and nephews.
