E.J. Lindsay was one of the founders of the largest farm supply businesses in existance in the late 1860's - Lindsay Bros., Inc. Edmond was married to Celia Hawes. He was the son of David Lindsay and Janet Edmond Lindsay. He died at his home at 281 Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Lindsay had been a member of the Wisconsin Baptist state convention for 50 years. Politically he was a Republican and was one of the committee to entertain President McKinley when he visited Milwaukee.
