David was born January 10, 1798, and died September 25, 1849. He most likely died of food (salmonella) poisoning.

David had 4 children with his first wife Matilda Brown Lindsay. They are: Jessie 1825-1914, Matilda 1827-1892, James 1828-1893, and David 1830-1903. Jessie died in Toronto. James is buried at Riverside Cemetery near his father. The information about his son David on the Find A Grave website is not correct and I will contact the creator to correct it. His son David was married to Isabella Simpson and they had 4 children, Martin, Walter, Mary, and Robert.

Matilda Brown Lindsay died of a sore throat and fever, most likely strep throat.

With his second wife, Janet (Jessie) Edmond Lindsay, he had 6 children. They are: Edmond 1838-1924, William 1840-1927, Thomas 1843-1917, Anne 1845-1861, George 1846-1934, and Henry 1848-1931. Jessie, Edmond, William, George, and Henry, are buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee. Anne is buried next to her father at Riverside Cemetery. Thomas is buried at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.

The information about Edmond is correct.

William had 7 children, Annie, William, Mary, Harry, Mertie, James, and Herbert. They are buried at Forest Home, except James who is buried at Lakewood. Mary, Harry, and Mertie, all died as young children within a week of each other from diptheria in 1879.

Thomas had had 1 child, Edwin.

Anne died at the age of 16 of a sore throat and fever, most likely strep.

George had 4 children, Isabel, Henry, Margaret, and Doris.

Henry had 4 children, Helen, John, Robert, and an unnamed infant son.

As an update to Janet (Jessie) Edmond http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=23599367 . Her parents names were Anne McKim Edmond and James Edmond.

Hope this information helps you update the Find A Grave website. It is based on the book, History of the Lindsay by E.J. Lindsay. Let me know if I can be of any help in locating your Lindsay ancestors.
