Clifford Keith Redus, age 90, passed away at home on December 16, 2021. He was born on February 20, 1931 in Devine, Texas to John C. Sr. and Hazel Redus. He was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters. He began his life of hard work as a boy in the irrigated peanut, tomato and melon fields of Devine. After graduating from Devine High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy, in which he proudly served for 22 years. Upon his retirement from the Navy, he attended San Diego State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. At this time, the family returned to Texas, and he became employed by Seton Medical Center in Austin as a materials management supervisor. After retirement from Seton, he spent his time working on his home property and loved being outdoors. He was a good man and liked by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lorene; children, Linda, Keith (Donna) and Alan; grandchildren, Shannon (Mario), Nathaniel (Isa) and Justin (Kenley); and great grandchildren, Jaden, Jasper and Freya.

The family would like to thank Cella Bella Hospice for their compassionate care. Charitable contributions in Clifford's memory may be made to VFW Post 2527, 1530 FM 20, Bastrop, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:30pm on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.

The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, Texas. The rosary will begin at 10:00am and the funeral mass will begin at 10:30am. The graveside service and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
