Mr. JOHN A. McGREEVY, aged 73 years, died yesterday at his residence, No. 220 West Lanvale Street, of pneumonia and pleurisy, after a sickness of several weeks. He had recovered from this combined attack of two serious diseases sufficiently to sit up and move about, but suffered a relapse a day or two ago, and never rallied.

He was born in county Down, Castle of Killala, Ireland, and came to Baltimore when about eight years of age, with his parents. In early life he was a bookkeeper in one or more commercial houses, and then entered the Commercial and Farmers National Baji, as discount clerk. At the time of his death he was general bookkeeper and had been in the bank 50 years. He was the first president of the Young Catholic Friend's Society, which was organized at St. Peter's Church.

His wife and three grown children survive him.
