Elwood - Evelyn C. Martin Skelton, 83, 520 S. 22nd St., Elwood died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Elwood.
She was born May 8, 1908, in Bronx, N.Y.
She retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown, Conn. after 25 years of employment and was a member of the Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Danbury Conn.
She was married to William Skelton, Elwood in 1966. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Inez Rice of Elwood, Julia Gioia of Danbury, and Margaret Schulz of Saugus, Mass.; three sons, Joseph . Alfred Emerito, and James Emerito, all of Danbury; a brother Edward Martin of Framingham, Mass.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons Martin and Nicholas Emerito.
Services will be Friday at St. Joseph Church in Elwood with father Kenneth T. Raczek officiating. Burial will be in St. Peters cemetery in Danbury Conn. Friends May Call at Dunnichay funeral Home in Elwood Thursday from 6 to 8 . There will be a Rosary service at 7.
