Violet Louise (Howell) Reed, 99, born December 22, 1922, departed this life on January 11, 2022. Daughter of Fred Emery Howell and Ada Ethel Standley Howell. She was united in marriage to Leamon Jesse Reed on June 14, 1946.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Kay Reed and Karen Gay Reed of Springfield, MO; two brothers and their wives, Melvin Wayne Howell and wife Penney, Paul Ralph Howell and wife Mary Lou; sister-in-laws, Becky Lou Howell and Loveta Fae Dulaney; brother-in-law John R. Reed; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Violet was preceded in death by: her husband, Leamon Jesse Reed; parents, Fred Emery and Ada Ethel (Standley) Howell; brothers, Vernon Emery Howell, Virgil Howard Howell, Van Leslie Howell, Wade Jackie Howell; sister, Gracie Fern Adams; sister-in-law, Leatha Mae Griffith; brother-in-laws, Charles Edward Reed, Arthur Junior Reed.
Graveside Services will be 11am January 14, 2022, at the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Mrs. Reed will lie in state from 8am-10am Friday morning prior to the service at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
