Died: 06-23-2005 George D. Templin, 71, of Hopeville Avenue, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at his home.
Mr. Templin was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Greeneville and a member of the Koinonia Sunday School Class.
He was a retired employee of the Department of Human Services and a former employee of Magnavox Co.
Mr. Templin was a former member of Gideon International.
He was born in Cocke County, and was a son of the late Caster and Mamie Templin.
His family noted, ?George was a loving and devoted husband and ?dad.??
Survivors include his wife of 47 years: Pat Templin; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Robin Templin of Gray and Gary and Monika Templin of Sterling, Ill.; his granddaughter: Grace Templin of Sterling; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Lloyd Littlefield of New London, N.H., and Ruth and Jewell Cox of Murfreesboro; one niece; and two nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 7 o?clock Monday evening at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. David Green and the Rev. David Patterson will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service.
