Vivian Chabert Mayet, 94, a native of Cut Off and lifelong resident of Larose passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11:00 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
Vivian is survived by "Her Boys" Tommy and Ray along with daughters-in-law Adea Leger Mayet and Julie Rebstock Mayet, grandchildren Joyelle Beeby (Matt), Ryan Mayet (Tiffany), Maggie Chouest (Ben) and Ross Mayet (Christy), and great grandchildren Vivian, Henry and Harrison Beeby, Drake and Kylie Mayet, and Georgia and Graham Chouest, sisters Emelia Pitre, Nina Bourg and Dora Curole (Irvin).
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Gene Thomas Mayet, parents Charles and Elia Terrebonne Chabert, brothers Elvis (Al) Chabert and Edwis Chabert.
Vivian was a retiree of Latelco and a loving matriarch of the Mayet family. She was loved and adored by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her and perhaps one of the most unselfish angels our Lord has ever put on this earth. Great memories of our mom and Granny will be treasured for years to come.
