John Regis Mahoney was born to James and Johanna (McLaughlin) Mahoney in Hayfield Township, PA. He attended Little Corners Schools in Hayfield Township, PA, and graduated from Meadville, High School in Meadville, PA. Mr. Mahoney was an Army Medic during WWII serving in the European Theater and was awarded four Bronze Stars. He was retired from the Erie Local Brick and Block layers Union. He also worked independently as a home builder. He was survived by his sister, Mary Mahoney of Hayfield Township, PA, and six nieces and nephews, Kathy, Gary, Debbie, Phil Jr., Kirk and Jack Mahoney. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Joseph, Philip, and William and a nephew, Joseph Mahoney. His funeral was held at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, Crossingville, PA.
