Phyllis Baer, 79, of Peoria passed away at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at her residence.
Phyllis was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Peoria, a daughter of Linn and Delores Hall Arbogast. She married Roy E. Baer on Dec. 7, 1947, in Dunlap.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years; one son, Kevin Roy Baer of Peoria; seven daughters, Cheryl Baer of Peoria, Rebecca (Gene) Sidler of East Peoria, Susan (Rick) Courtney of Washington, Mary Doty of Peoria, Marcia Hilger of Germantown Hills, Barbara (Terry) Frans of Peoria and Pamela (Chuck) Eddy of Peoria; two sisters, Irene Grunert of Princeville and Alice Streitmatter of Rome; six sisters-in-law, Eunice Roseboom of Peoria, Edna Arnett of Peoria, Doris (Walt) Davis of Peoria, Wilma Perham of Peoria, Margaret Schlump of Peoria and Kate (George) Hoerr of Brimfield; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Michael Roy Baer; one brother, Linn Arbogast; and three sisters, Jean Adami, Diane Arbogast and Donna Jones.
Phyllis was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at The Wilton Mortuary. Pastor George Hoerr will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
