A longtime resident of Vidor, Texas. He was a proud Korean War Veteran and was retired from Southwestern Bell. He was an active member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church of Vidor, known by most as the "Candy Man". Paw Paw Jack adored all five grand children and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eloise of forty eight years, his parents John and Stella Jefferson, his brother Bill, sister Francis.
Survivors include his daughters Pam Fulmer and husband Steve, Becky Carriere and husband Todd; grandchildren: Angie, Amanda, Shana, Jimmy and Justin, also eleven great grandchildren, two sisters Jimmie Wilson, Que Nell Thomas and brother-in-law Gene Thomas, two brother-in-laws, Harry Christian and Robert Stewart, and three sister-in-laws Joyce Jefferson, Gloria Tolar, and Juanita Tolar, and a host of nieces and nephews.
