Leonard Harvey Hill was the third child born to Joseph Oliver Hill and Ida M. Ayeres on March 6 1906 in Seneca, Missouri.

He joined James K. Hill b March 29 1902 and Leta Hill b Oct 4 1904.
After Leonard came Dean G. Hill b Oct 18 1911, Lucilla M Hill b May 12 1915 and Oscar Hill, who was born after 1915.

On August 2 1932, Leonard Harvy Hill married Buelah Violet Hill, and to this union was born two sons: Robert Lee Hill and Joe Dell Hill. They had 5 grandchildren. Leonard Harvey Hill died on July 14, 1993.

In researching Leonard Hill's family, I stumbled across some interesting info. Leonard married my mother's father's sister. Which makes him my great uncle by marriage. Going back to Leonard's great grandfather, Henry Hill (who married Ruth Adams), the two names sounded very familiar to me. As it turns out, two of Henry and Ruth Hill's children were Margaret Hill b March 17 1834 and married John Casey, and James Hill who was Leonard's grandfather.

Margaret Hill Casey was the mother of Martha Ann Casey, who married Alfred Moore. Minnie May Moore came out of that marriage, and she married Paris Pzaro Capps who were the parents of my grandfather, John Lewis Capps. Talk about a shocker! When doing one's family tree, you can find almost anything = )
