Mrs. Mabel P. Harvey, wife of the late Harry H. Harvey, passed away in Philadelphia, May 18. She was a former resident of Bridgeton, but moved to Philadelphia 15 years ago. She had been taken sick only a week before and was removed to the American Stomach Hospital. She was given two blood transfusions, to be in readiness for an operation, but this was of no avail. The deceased was of a loving nature and cheerful disposition, always willing to help others in time of need. She was born at Cohansey, the daughter of the late Daniel D. and Anna E. Hitchner. She is survived by two brothers, James E. Hitchner, of Salem, and Albert H. Hitchner, of Cohansey; two sisters being deceased, Mrs. Lillian Simmons and Mrs. Bessie Ackley. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from Hitchner's funeral parlors at Salem, with interment in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. Rev. J. Oscar Neeb, pastor of the Christ's Lutheran Church, Bridgeton, of which the deceased was a member, officiated. The floral tokens were many and beautiful.
