Dennis Dale Acklin, son of the late Chester Acklin and Corgel Faught Acklin, was born January 17, 1951 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He departed this life December 25, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 8 days. Dennis spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. He was a television repairman by trade. He was united in marriage to Julie Ford February 8, 1996. He has been a member of the Gospel Truth Church in Pineville since 1994.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Julie Acklin of the home; one son: Alex Acklin of Clarkridge; five daughters: Angelique Penick of Springfield, Missouri, Jennifer Fitzmaurice of Mountain Home, Anita Nicole Rooney of Bentonville, Sarah Hannah Thompson of Oklahoma and Mellisa Diane Tallent of Huntsville; two sisters: Rosetta Jones of Wichita, Kansas and Frieda Smithson of Cassville, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Antonio Acklin; four siblings: Emmitt Acklin, R. C. Acklin, Norma Funkhouser and Dorene Acklin.

Graveside funeral service will be Thursday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Galatia Cemetery with Wade Moser officiating, under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
