Alexander Eoff, farmer and teamster, was the son of John Eoff and his first (unknown) wife. Alexander married his cousin, Jane Eoff, the daughter of Samuel Eoff and Azubah Knox, about 1847 in Carroll County, Arkansas, in the area which is now Boone County. Their children were Margaret A (Eoff) Nichols, Sela Azubah "Zuby" (Eoff) Henry, John J Eoff, Lucy Cynthia (Eoff) Parrish, Samuel M Eoff (d.y.) William I H Eoff (d.y.), William G Eoff (d.y) and Mary Eoff.

Alexander and Jane lived for many years in Newton County, Arkansas, moving to Jones County, Texas where Alexander died in 1889. His grave is said to be the first in Bethel Cemetery.
