Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Vernal Third Ward Chapel for Mae Timothy Johnson, 86, of Vernal who died Sunday at the home of a daughter in Vernal following a long illness.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 30, 1880 in Wallsburg to David and Martha Elvira Haws Timothy. She married A. Theodore Johnson September 2, 1903 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 26, 1966.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Uintah Stake Relief Society president for 30 years. She was primary president prior to her illness and had been a temple worker.
Survivors include a son and daughters, Dwayne T., Salt Lake City; Mrs. Theora Whetten, Storrs, Connecticut; Mrs. Howard (Wanda) Wasden, Las Vegas, Nevada: Mrs. Delmer (Ione) Simpson, Idaho Falls; Vera VanLeuven and Mrs. Owen (Evelyn) Hacking, both of Vernal; 22 grandchildren; brother and sister, David, St. George; Mrs. Marvin (LaMar) Terry, Rockville.
Burial was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
