After a long battle with pneumonia, Judy Jones Hunter was welcomed into God's loving arms on December 13, 2021. Judy was surrounded by her 4 daughters and daughter in law when she was called home.

Judy was born October 6, 1950 in Birmingham, Al to Johnny and Juanita Jones. She graduated from Ensley High School and went on to college at Auburn University. In 2007, Judy received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Macon State College. She was retired from Navicent Health where she worked on 4 East as a nurse.

Judy was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. You only had to meet her once to be considered a part of her family. She had a passion for helping others and you could often find her volunteering at the schools, her church, and in the community. Judy also enjoyed acting in community theater, singing, painting, travelling, photography, and just spending time in nature.

Judy is survived by her daughters Rebecca Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, and Rachel Hunter of Forsyth, Ga, and Leah Hunter (Megan) of Macon, Ga., her brothers Johnny M. Jones, Jerry Jones (Mary Anne), and Jeffry Jones of Birmingham, Al, her father, Johnny Jones of Leeds, Al, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Jones of Birmingham, Al, her sister, Jennifer Teer of Adamsville, Al, her daughter Dianna Hunter of Leeds, Al, her nephew Jesse Jones of Leeds, Al, and her great-nephew Daniel Gomez of Denver, Co.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Forsyth. Rev. Glenn Gregg will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
