Gerald proudly served his country for 29 years in the United States Navy. He was born and raised in Vermont. He married the love of his life, Patricia. In their 45 years of marriage, they traveled halfway around the world, everywhere from Guam to Scotland, including 49 states in between with numerous stops in Vermont to see his family. In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. More recently he had a great interest in gardening. Jerry liked to drink fine wine, single malt scotch, and listen to classical music. His favorite was opera. He was a man of faith and loved his country. Most important of all, Dad loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, whether Dad, Grandpa, GG-pa, or "Senior" Chief.
