HANAK - Alberta, 90, of Johnstown, beloved wife, mother and "Grammy", went to be with our Lord on February 3, 2023. Born December 23, 1932, daughter of Joseph and Dora Mae (Jeffes) Guizio. Preceded in death by her parents, husband of 39 years, William "Bill" (who passed in 1993), eldest son, Michael (who passed in 2021), and 16 siblings (brothers: Frank, Theodore, William "Sunday", Anthony, Francis, Louis, James, Joseph, and Robert; sisters: Caroline, Mildred, Edith, Theresa, Rosemary, Madeline, and Betty). Survived by her loving children, Scott, her primary caretaker with whom she lived, and Joyce Hanak Rogina, Esq. (NJ), and her grandchildren, Corinne and Zachary Rogina (both in FL). Also daughter-in-law, Janet (MO), and grandchildren Matthew and William, sister-in-laws, Mary Hanak (Johnstown), Margaret Blehi (NC), and Dorothy Irene Bayconish (NJ), as well as many nephews, nieces, and dear friends. Alberta was a graduate of Johnstown High School, married Bill in 1954, was a long-time member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral, and worked in the Greater Johnstown School District for nearly 20 years. Her family was her world. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on February 7th at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, where Panachidawill be held at 6 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, February 8th, at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak, celebrant, with Committal to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
