Services for Maude LaDell "Mammie" Baker, 97, of Alexandria will be at 3 p.m. today in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Holladaugh-Spindle, Baton Rouge.

She died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in Baton Rouge Health Care Center.

She was a native of Boyce, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Alexandria Chapter of the Woodmen of the World and the Alexandria Art Guild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baker and two daughters, Cornelia Card and Gertrude Provost.

Survivors include three daughters, Maude David of Irwinville, Jo James of Baton Rouge, and Jane Jorn of Chipley, Fla.; three sons, Rev. John P. Baker of Baton Rouge, and Richard M. Baker and Champ L. Baker, both of Alexandria; one sister, Corean Bowden of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Bill Nickens, Donald Lovett, Darby James Jr., Daniel Baker, David Card, John Baker, and Rusty Baker.
