Jack Lee Beaver, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on December 10, 2021. Born on March 5, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Thomas Lee Beaver, B 1891 in Sturgeon, Missouri, and Addie Mae Crutchfield Beaver, B 1900 in Moberly, Missouri.
Jack's siblings were James Thomas Beaver, Leroy Beaver, Lewis Albert Beaver, Frank Harold Beaver, and Mary Ellen Beaver born in 1928. She was 12 years old when Jack was born and her mother allowed her to name the new baby. She named him "Jackie Lee". That's a hard name for a guy to have in the Navy, so he had it legally changed to "Jack".

Jack married Hilda May Hines on June 23, 1973. They were married for 42 years and had one son, Thomas Lee Beaver, born in 1974. Hilda had two children, Carol (Pace) and Arthur Lee DeFord, from a previous marriage. Jack was a devoted husband and took great care of his wife, Hilda,

Jack loved animals, dogs in particular and always had one even when he was a baby. His passion was golf and he played every chance he got even up until very close to the end of his life.

At the age of 20, Jack joined the U. S. Navy where he would be stationed in the waters of what would become known as Viet Nam. He was assigned to the U. S. Monticello LSD-35 which sailed to the western pacific in November 1960. He ended up in Subic Bay, Philippines and the ship moved around in the waters in anticipation of war breaking out in Viet Nam. He was discharged in 1964 and returned to Kansas City.

Jack retired from Bayer Chemical Corporation (26 years of service).

Jack loved football, reading, movies of all kinds and was an expert on facts about John Wayne and Merle Haggard.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM at Blue Springs Cemetery (2800 SW Walnut St, Blue Springs, MO 64015) on December 28th, 2021. A Celebration of Life service is pending.
