George Hanks, former resident of Paragonah, and brother of Mrs W H Barton of this town died of heart trouble at Dallas, Texas Thursday morning.
His body is being brought to Panguitch for burial, the date of the funeral is not known at this time. His son, Dr George Hanks was with him at the time of his death.
He is survived by his widow, Zina Sargent Hanks, former resident of Panguitch, four children, two boys and two girls, three brothers, J S Hanks of Salt Lake City, Heber T Hanks of Los Angeles and Dave Hanks of Eugene, Oregon, and his sister here. He was the son of George and Eliza Hanks.

Obituary
George W Hanks 64, brother of J S Hanks of 968 Military drive, general agent here for the Montana Life Insurance company, died in Dallas, Texas. Thursday of heart disease, according to word received here.
Mr Hanks formerly lived in Salt Lake and at the time of his death was visiting with his son, Dr George Hanks, in charge of the veterans' hospital in Dallas. He was born in Paragonah, Utah, but had made his home in Panguitch most of his life, where he had engaged in the mercatile business. He formerly held the contract to deliver mail between Marysvale and Kanosh.
Mr Hanks came to Salt Lake about 10 years ago and left Salt Lake to go to Texas in 1928.
Besides J S Hanks and Dr Hanks, he is survived by his widow, Mrs Zina Hanks of Dallas; one other son and two daughters Arthur E Hanks and Mrs Lucille Cramer of Portland, Ore., and Miss Inez Hanks of New York; one sister, Mrs W H Barton of Paragonah, and two other brother, H T Hanks of Los Angeles and W D Hanks of LaGrande, Ore.
His body will be taken to Panguitch for funeral services and burial.

Former Paragonah Man Buried at Panguitch
George E Hanks, former Paragonah resident who passed away at Dallas, Texas, on Jan 21, was buried at Panguitch on the 27th, the funeral being held in the North ward chapel.
The deceased was born in Paragonah in 1867, a son of George W and Elizabeth Hanks. When a young man he went to Panguitch where he married Rozina Sargent and they made their home in that city for many years.
His widow and four of the six children born to them survive him. They are Dr George Hanks of Dallas, Texas, Arthur Hanks and Mrs Herbert Craner of Portland, Oregon and Inez Hanks of New York. Three brothers, David W, Heber T and Samuel J., and a sister, Mrs W H Barton also survive him.
He filled a mission to the Eastern States for the LDS church in 1887. Speakers at the funeral were S A Worthen, Benjamin Comeron Jr. and Thomas Partridge.
