Kenneth C. "Ken" Wildasin, 94, of Hanover, PA entered God's Eternal Care, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center.

Born May 4, 1926, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Paul R. and Esta C. (Saltzgiver) Wildasin. Ken was the loving husband of Shirley A. (Zumbrum) Wildasin with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Ken joined the U.S. Navy on May 4, 1943, his 17th birthday. He served two years in the South Pacific and earned 4 Battle Stars for the Invasion of the Marshal Islands, the Battle of Leyte Gulf, Philippines, the Battle of Luzon, Philippines, and the Battle of Okinawa, all during WWII. Ken served on the Lst 43 that was sunk in Pearl Harbor, He then was assigned to the Lst 54 in small boats as an amphibian force crew member, and as 3rd class petty officer boatswain mate.

Ken retired from American National Can Corp. after twenty-seven years. He was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church and a past member of the church council.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and walking for exercise, wood working, and watching Western movies.

Ken is survived by his children, Dirk Wildasin and wife Vicki of Hanover, PA, Stacy Brodbeck and husband David of Hanover, PA, and Misti Wildasin and wife Jeanne Plotica of Abbottstown, PA; three grandchildren, Chad Brodbeck and wife Shannon, Nathan Brodbeck and wife Toshia, and Amy Myers and husband Cory; four great-grandchildren; Lucas Stayrook, Madalynn Brodbeck, Lucas Brodbeck, Knox Brodbeck, and Emily Brodbeck. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma Auchey, Helen Dubs, Betty Gillette, and Lorraine Nace.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
