Born in Jackson, TN on Sunday, January 15, 1961, she was the daughter of the late John William Anthony and Mary Evelyn Armstrong Anthony. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Brenley Jade Ostrom; and two brothers, Mike Anthony and Ronnie Jones.
Sandra was married to Carl Ostrom for 41 years. They were united on Saturday, August 30, 1980. Described by her family as a "full-time Nana", she also had worked in sales and service for Kemper United Insurance and as a customer service representative for Apria Healthcare. She had attended TCAT in Jackson and, in her leisure time, enjoyed arts and crafts. However, her true joy was time spent with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Ostrom was a member of Vildo Pentecostal Church where she served as song leader and pianist. Reflecting her zeal for her Lord and fellow man, her favorite Bible verse was Acts 2:38: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
She leaves her husband, Carl Ostrom of Bolivar; daughter, Jennifer Vestal (Matthew) of Brownsville; son Jeremy Alan Ostrom (Kristi Michelle) of Decaturville; seven grandchildren, Whitney Michelle Riley (Gary), Jeremy Hunter Ostrom, Dominick Drake Vestal, Robert Moore, II (Aimee), Will Moore, Emilee Wheeler and Will Vestal; great-grandchildren, Harlee Dee Riley and Skylar Ruth Moore, 'on the way'; sister, Barbara Powell of Bells; three brothers, Dennis M. Jones (Deborah) of Bolivar, Larry Jones of Lexington and Johnny Ray Anthony (Diane) of Bolivar; sister-in-law, Kara Spudy of Manor, PA; and father-in-law, Dallas Eaton of Owen, PA.
