Mr. Claude Keith Billings age 91 of the Johnson Chapel Community of DeKalb County passed away Monday morning, December 6, 2021 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
Mr. Billings was born on January 18, 1930 in Silver Point, TN to his parents, the late Ray & Clara Felts Billings. In addition to his Parents, the is also preceded in death by his Wife, Hilda Rhea Billings, 3 Sisters, Alma Billings, Odene Prater & Ellen Hutchins. 2 Brothers, Ernest Billings & Melvin Billings. Mr. Billings served his county in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a Pattern Maker at Paragrind Industries and was a member of the Johnson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12noon from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Steven Billings will officiate with burial following at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery with Gary Rickman officiating at the graveside.
Survivors include 3 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Steven (Tina) Billings of Sweetwater, TN, John (Wendy) Billings of Michigan & Jason (Sally) Billings of Brentwood, TN. 1 Daughter & Son-in-law, Claudette (Glenn) Peterson of Maryland. 1 Brother & Sister-in-law, RV (Brenda) Billings of Sparta, TN. Special Sisters-in-law, Helen Faul of Michigan & Robbie Young of Rock Island, TN. 8 Grandchildren, Bruce & Tripti Billings, Stormie & Ethan Pryor, Patricia Peterson, Samantha Peterson, Jonathon & Allie Peterson, Wyatt Billings, Emily & Josh Denk, Elissa & Collin McRae. Several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews & Friends also survive.
