She was born January 16, 1856 at Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Josiah and Mary Ann (Miller) Flinn.
She and Henry Hutchens were married March 24, 1876. They were the parents of ten children, Mary C., James A., Mittie, Nettie Belle, Hattie, Robert Lee, Bertha, Charles Clinton, Dock, George.
She and her husband and children moved to Woodward County, Oklahoma from Washington County, Arkansas on May 29, 1907.
Her husband died November 5, 1907. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son Dock; and two daughters, Mary and Bertha.
She is survived by four sons, James A. Hutchens of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Lee Hutchens of West Fork, Arkansas, Charles Clinton Hutchens of Freedom, Oklahoma and George Hutchens of Mooreland, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mittie Ritchards of Formoso, Kansas, and Nettie Belle Standley and Hattie Goldsborough, both of Pitkin, Arkansas; 24 grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and seven brothers, John G., Joseph H., W. R., Wesley, David Franklin, Lewis and Harvey M. Flinn.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, March 11, 1926, at West Union.
Interment was in Mooreland Cemetery.
