"Pioneer Woman Dies - Iowa City, Feb. 14. - Mrs. Adaline Fowle, a pioneer of Iowa City, is dead at her home in Portland. Ore., where she resided with her son, Leo G. Fowle, formerly an Iowa City businessman. She was 80. She was a victim of paralysis. Surviving are her son, Leo, and her twin sister, Mrs. George W. Marquardt, of Des Moines. Her husband, Joshua Fowle, a grand army veteran of Iowa City, before his death years.
